Eligibility criteria:
- Education: MPA/MBA in Human Resources
- Experience: 5 years of experience in managing HR issues.
- Other requirement: Applicants with expertise in managing a ship’s crew or working for organizations associated to the marine industry will be preferred.
Job responsibilities:
- Make sure that everything is set up so that the ships are correctly manned in accordance with the requirements of STCW 95.
- Ensure that all officers and crew members working on PNSC ships are suitably trained and in good health in order to comply with all legal, commercial, non-legal, and matrix requirements and to operate the ships in a safe and effective manner.
- Coordination and cooperation with Pakistan Customs and other relevant government organizations in charge of preventing the smuggling of drugs and other contraband items, as well as ensuring that the Corporation’s strict enforcement of the precautionary and safety measures on board PNSC management ships, are required.
- Make sure that officers and crew are appointed, transferred, and promoted on time and in compliance with PNSC service standards and procedures.
- Keep track of your service history, including any leaves and payments (via the finance department).
- Make selections, sign on/off, and assign officers and crew to company ships in accordance with policies and regulations.
- Send Ship Masters fleet orders and other circulars, and make sure the company’s rules are followed.
- On issues pertaining to P&I Clubs claims, communicate with the insurance and claims department.
- Assure the implementation and updating of all SOPs, publications, and policies.
- Ensure that the system is kept up to date with all information relating to officers and crew.
- Work in coordination or contact with crew management firms to secure foreign employment for Pakistani seafarers.
